Khakis are ubiquitous in the spring and summer. We know you’re probably shy about staring at another man’s crotch region on the street so it’s understandable (but not excusable) that you may not be sure what good fitting khakis look like. Not only is getting the right size in both the waist and leg important, the style, color and fabric are key. Opt for stone, grey, white, or cream rather than station wagon siding greenish tan. Unless you’ve got a streetwear or slouchy look going all together for the majority of your khaki wear this is the fit you want.
And as for flat front or pleats, at the MANifesto we firmly believe every time a guy wears pleated pants, an angel loses its wings.
Cuff is of personal preference, if you’re not on the taller side go for a clean hem line.
For belting, a black leather belt can look a little 90s. Try a different material like suede or fabric.

Any recommendation on brands with a shorter rise? Most off-the-shelf pants seem cut to accommodate a diaper.
I should add… I found pants at Express that fit like jeans, but my friends and family say such a fit is too snug.
Zara and H&M tend to carry pants with a shorter rise since it’s a younger demographic not in diapers yet:)
Save Khaki makes some excellent khakis that are slim with a low rise. Saks carries them across the country and probably some local boutiques do as well.
Thank you for the suggestion. Have you worn Bonobos yet?
